What is Last Fiefdom?

Last Fiefdom is a free online strategy game from Puzala Games Limited, a company based in Hong Kong. It is not a single-player game: Steam lists it as Massively Multiplayer with cross-platform multiplayer, and the store text describes global alliances, 100v100 real-time siege battles, spies who sabotage rival courts and a research tree with PvP tactics such as night stealth and phalanx formations.

At its core you build and defend a stronghold with crossbow towers and boiling-oil traps, hatch dragons from eggs and raise them for war, and train armies with trebuchets and armored knights. Recent version notes stack hero and gear systems on top: Mythical Heroes of several elements, hero weapons, equipment sets, gemstones, Draconic Stones, emblems and Lost Relics.

The game reached the App Store on April 1, 2026 and Steam on August 23, 2026. Its version numbers already run past 25, and the September 2, 2026 notes announced a 10th Anniversary Celebration; the official pages do not explain the history behind that. A PvP Arena event and Season Chests were announced as coming soon in mid-October.

Is Last Fiefdom free to play?

Yes. Steam lists Last Fiefdom as Free To Play, and the App Store and Google Play list it as free with in-app purchases. The official PC landing page offers a free Windows download and shows a gift code for PC players, PLAYLFONPC.

Puzala's official pages say little about what free players earn. The store text promises free-to-play conquest, and the version notes announce new equipment sets, Lost Relics and anniversary events without saying which parts are earned in play and which are sold. Puzala's subscription agreement, which covers paid plans in its games, says some games may offer free trials that turn into paid subscriptions unless they are canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Player ratings split by platform. On Steam, the game has only 20 user reviews, and Steam rates them Mostly Negative, with 20% positive. On mobile, players rate it far higher: 4.58 stars from 329 US App Store ratings and 4.4 stars from 27.1K Google Play reviews.

Is Last Fiefdom pay to win? What money buys

As of October 30, 2026, the US App Store lists Gold from a $0.99 Pouch to a $99.99 Wagon, Daily Gift Packs at $0.99 and $4.99, a $4.99 Stronghold Supply (Small) and a $2.99 item named BP Package M. The App Store description also lists a monthly subscription at $29.99 that renews automatically and grants exclusive privileges, without naming them. Purchases can also go through a web Top-up Centre at lastfiefdom.com.

Apple lists Loot Boxes, and Google Play flags in-game purchases that include random items. We could not locate an official page with drop rates, and Puzala's site has no probability disclosure.

The game is built around fighting other players: 100v100 sieges, alliance wars, spying, a PvP research tree and an announced Arena event. The heroes, gear and dragons that make up an army's strength are what those fights are decided with, and the stores do not say which of them packs or random rewards can supply.

Based on what the official stores sell, we rate it as strongly pay to win; we will check this again when we play it ourselves.

Last Fiefdom on PC, Mac and mobile

On Windows there are two official routes. Steam has a free Windows-only version, released August 23, 2026, with cross-platform multiplayer, Family Sharing and 17 interface languages. Puzala's own PC landing page at pc.lastfiefdom.com offers a separate Windows download. Steam lists no macOS or Linux build.

On Mac, the App Store lists the iPhone and iPad app as compatible with Macs that have an Apple M1 chip or later and macOS 12.0 or newer, and with Apple Vision.

On phones, Last Fiefdom is on the App Store and Google Play, where it is filed under Strategy and 4X and the developer is shown as Puzala. There are no console versions.

Steam tags the game with Cross-Platform Multiplayer, but the official pages do not explain how to carry a mobile account over to the Steam or landing-page version, so plan on checking that in the game before you switch.

Last Fiefdom system requirements

Steam lists modest PC requirements. The minimum is a 64-bit processor and 64-bit Windows 7 SP1 or newer, 4 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or Radeon HD 4400 or better, 8 GB of storage and a broadband internet connection. The recommended section only repeats the 64-bit requirement and gives no higher spec.

On Apple devices, the App Store listing for version 25.1.90 requires iOS 15.0 or later on iPhone and iPod touch, iPadOS 15.0 or later on iPad and macOS 12.0 or later on a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or newer, with a download of about 1.3 GB. The App Store lists 20 languages.

Updates arrive every one to two weeks on the App Store; the latest, on October 28, 2026, added Rock Vein Gemstones. Expect download sizes to grow as new hero, gear and event content is added.
