What is Neverness to Everness?

Neverness to Everness, shortened to NTE, is a supernatural open-world RPG from Hotta Studio, a Perfect World company. According to the Steam page, you play the first unlicensed Anomaly Hunter in the city of Hethereau and work for Eibon, a run-down antique shop that takes Anomaly commissions. You team up with companions who each have their own abilities. The store listings also describe customizable vehicles, a Ghost Train for fast travel, side stories with city factions, and a home you can buy and decorate. Steam tags the game as single-player with online co-op.

NTE launched globally on April 29, 2026, after closed tests in 2025 and early 2026. Version 1.4, For Whom the Verses Mourn, arrived on September 30, 2026, adding the limited S-Class character Blackbird, a new main story episode and the Pukaland location. The game runs on four regional servers (Asia, America, Europe and SEA), and progress does not carry over between them.

Is Neverness to Everness free to play?

Yes. NTE costs nothing to download on every platform. Steam lists it as Free To Play, and the App Store and Google Play show it as free with in-app purchases.

Perfect World says Version 1.0 handed out more than 120 pulls just for logging in, and that players could collect over 470 pulls in total by adding gameplay rewards, plus a free S-Class character and S-Class Arcs. Updates also add free rolls: the Version 1.4 patch notes list 10 Solid Dice in the mail after the update and 10 more for a 7-day login.

As of October 29, 2026, the US App Store lists top in-app purchases from $0.99 (Dual Band Dice Pack) to $99.99 (6,480 Riftcrystal). Whether a free account can keep up with each new limited character is something only play time can show, so we will report on it after our sessions.

Is Neverness to Everness pay to win? What money buys

Riftcrystal is the currency sold in the App Store, from 300 for $4.99 to 6,480 for $99.99 as of October 29, 2026; the store also lists a $4.99 Riftcrystal Mining Permit. Some outfits cost Riftcrystal: Blackbird's Wandering Stars outfit is 3,280, discounted to 2,680 until November 11.

The Circle Bounty event works like a battle pass. Buying Elite Hunter Supplies ($9.99 on the App Store) or Honor Hunter Supplies ($19.99) unlocks extra rank rewards such as Annulith, Solid Dice and Fons. Limited characters come from Limited Boards, where you roll dice and can claim outfits and liveries at 50, 120 and 200 rolls. Limited S-Class Arcs come from an Arc Research Program paid with keys. Mystery Boxes cost Fons or Annulith, and the price rises with each of the 15 boxes. The Top-Up Center website adds bundles, such as 400 Annulith plus 5 Solid Dice for $9.99.

Mystery Box news posts include a probability table, while the patch notes send players to in-game pages for full board and Arc details.

Based on what the official stores sell, we rate it as mildly pay to win; we will check this again when we play it ourselves.

Neverness to Everness on PC, Mac, consoles and mobile

Perfect World's launch FAQ lists Windows PC, the App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android), Apple Mac, Google Play PC, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. On Windows you can use the official launcher, and since July 2026 the game is also on Steam and the Epic Games Store; Steam shows July 7, 2026 as that version's release date. Mac players install the App Store version, which needs macOS 14 or later and an Apple M1 chip or newer.

Progress syncs across Windows PC, Mac, PS5, iOS and Android when you sign in with the same PWG Account. The Steam FAQ says Steam players can log in with an existing email, Facebook or Google account to carry over progress, and Steam purchases are charged to the Steam account that launched the game.

Two caveats from the FAQ: accounts made through different third-party logins stay separate, and each regional server keeps its own data. The launch FAQ does not mention an Xbox version.

The launch FAQ says installs through the official launcher need at least 60 GB free plus another 60 GB during file extraction, and it recommends an SSD.

On mobile, the minimum is an iPhone 12 Pro Max on iOS 15, or an Android 10 phone with a Snapdragon 855 or Dimensity 8000, plus 20 GB of free space. Recommended devices are an iPhone 14 Pro or newer on iOS 17, or a phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Dimensity 9200.
